The Moon and Pickup Trucks Owners of pickup trucks know that their vehicle comes with an obligation to help friends transport their larger items. The Capricorn moon of responsibility highlights the emotional equivalent of a pickup truck in our personal arsenal of talents and …Read more. Moon of Greener Grass There is no one standard of success that applies to all people. The people who wonder why "so-and-so" hasn't "made it big" are frustrated in their own lives. As the moon moves from Sagittarius, the station that sees greener grass on the other side, …Read more. Narcissism in the Fire-Sign Sky As for the people who seem to be in love with themselves, there's something oddly attractive about them at first. If you accidentally become enamored, you're not to be blamed as long as the fiery Sagittarius moon and the Leo sun rule the sky. Just …Read more. Uranus Turns Retrograde The human tendency is to believe the thing that resonates with one's instincts and disbelieve what doesn't, truth be damned. It takes an open mind to fight this tendency and erase bias. As Uranus joins four other planets in their retrograde dance, …Read more.more articles
To Free or Not To Free?
The line between good business practice and generosity gets blurred with the moon's crossing from ambitious Capricorn into philanthropic Aquarius. Free is an attractive price, but often it attracts way too many and too random a customer. That's why it's wise to put a different price on what you offer, one that's appropriate for your target.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Even the proudest individual usually has at least one person he or she looks up to. That's the one you need to connect with to influence the egomaniac in your life.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There's an easy fix for the flat times in an all-too-familiar relationship. Forget about life's pesky details, and focus on creating a bubble of together time that shuts out the rest of the world.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Fear is only what you think, not what is. Writing your fear down or talking it over with a reasonable friend will help you see just how silly a certain fear is. You'll laugh and then let it go.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Passivity is not weakness. Nine times out of 10, an assertive response is overkill. Today you'll win friends and fans while doing what the situation requires and no more than that.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Remember that time when you didn't know you were on speakerphone and you accidentally said things not meant for certain company? Well, today brings the chance to rectify that, or at least to not make the same mistake twice.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Familiarity can blind you to how someone really is. That's why spending time with outsiders can have an enormously (and in your case pleasantly) enlightening effect.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). There will be applications for your artistry all day long. For instance, your manner of dress delights the eye, and you arrange your table like you're going to paint a still life picture of it — lovely!
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Vulnerability may repel some people, but it attracts the right people. Because you're brave enough to be honest about what you're going through and the help you need, you'll find what you're looking for.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The things you worry about seldom happen. However, it still benefits you to prepare for the worst-case scenario. For starters, it makes you grateful for the positive way things pan out.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Someone would have you believe that today's opportunity is as rare as a yellow diamond.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). People insist on making simple things more complicated for a variety of reasons, such as fear of boredom, an aversion to silence or a desperate need to avoid self-confrontation.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). The mystical "third eye" is what you're using to see the truth about a relationship. You are also, perhaps unknowingly, applying a "third ear" to pick up the song in your loved one's heart.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 30). You momentarily may have lost sight of your goal in recent weeks, but your solar return brings it back in shining glory. Your efforts with fellow fire signs create swift momentum. You'll take control and lead your group to revitalization. Astounding luck in September brings funding to fulfill a wish. Passion fills 2016. Scorpio and Capricorn people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 29, 1, 44 and 17.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: The Sagittarius said he didn't want me to come over because he needed to work. Then he went to the movies with a friend. When I called him at home, he said the friend wasn't there. I showed up at his place, and the friend was there. He left her inside, and in the parking lot he told me I shouldn't worry so much. I don't know what to believe about him. I keep calling. He's making me feel crazy. I know in my heart we are connected. When will he see it, too? — Aries
Passionate fire sign, just cool off. The Sagittarius, as powerfully attractive as he may be, is not making you crazy. Rather, you are choosing to react in a crazy way to the information he is giving you, which is essentially: Leave me alone. There is a chance he finds your fervor flattering. But at the end of the day, what you are really doing is emotional bullying. You may even be frightening him. You are ignoring his unspoken request and putting your needs before his. Is that how you treat someone you respect/like/love? A self-imposed restraining order would do you a world of good now.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Leo Lisa Kudrow will star with Anna Kendrick, also a Leo, in "Table 19," a comedy about a group of strangers seated at the singles table of a wedding. Kudrow historically has terrific luck working with other Leos. The cast of "Friends" always had at least three, depending on the guest stars of the episode. Kudrow was born when the sun and Mercury were in Leo and the moon was in Sagittarius.
