ASK STACYDEAR STACY: Can you please tell me something about the girl with Michael Jackson in the video "Thriller"? — Ken B., Manhattan, N.Y. DEAR KEN: St. Louis native Ola Ray, a 1980 Playboy centerfold, was the gal in that monster hit. She has episodic and film credits ("Gimme a Break," "Beverly Hills Cop III") but nothing that comes close to bringing her the recognition she got from the video. In 1992, she was all over the tabloids when she was busted for cocaine in Hollywood. She subsequently went into rehab, but reports of her lingering in the party lifestyle persisted. In 1999, she filed a paternity suit against football star-turned-actor Jim Brown — but DNA tests eventually showed that CBS cameraman Terry Clark had fathered her daughter, Iam. Now 49, she sued Jackson this past May for back royalties. DEAR STACY: I really enjoyed Melanie Lynskey's performances as Rose on "Two and a Half Men." Will she be back on the show, and can you tell what she's been up to lately? — E.P., Canton, Ohio DEAR E.P.: She's been up to an ever-hotter film career, with roles opposite Matt Damon, Edward Norton and George Clooney on the way. Not too shabby! Lynskey plays the wife of Damon's bipolar corporate whistleblower in Steven Soderbergh's Sept. 18-opening "The Informant!" She plays the wife of one of the twins portrayed by Norton in the December release "Leaves of Grass." And she's Clooney's sister in the dark comedy "Up in the Air," also due at year's end. Plus, she's completed the big-screen drama "Helena from the Wedding" for release next year. The 32-year-old New Zealander, married to fellow actor Jimmi Simpson since 2007, now resides in L.A., and certainly, the door is not closed on a Rose return. DEAR STACY: Is there any way to find out what song Yo-Yo Ma is playing in the Hyundai commercial? — Dan K., Columbus, Ohio DEAR DAN: According to the legendary cellist's website, the "Gigue" from Bach's Cello Suite No. 3 in C major is featured on the auto spot that came out earlier this year. DEAR STACY: I'd like to know about Steve Howey from "Reba." Did he get married to Sarah Shahi? — Phyllis M., Chattanooga, Tenn. DEAR PHYLLIS: He did indeed, and the couple, who live in Los Angeles, became parents of son William Wolf Howey on July 9. DEAR STACY: Is there going to be another "Get Smart" movie? — Brian G., Fort Lee, N.J. DEAR BRIAN: "Get Smart 2" is in the works for a 2011 release, with Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. DEAR STACY: Please tell me about Don Johnson. What is he up to? — Joni K., Brooklyn, N.Y. DEAR JONI: Johnson publicly declared a year or so ago that he wanted to focus on features, finding that the TV "climate has changed" with few of the kind of shows he was interested in doing. Given the three-episodes-and-out failure of his last series, "Just Legal," that was taken by some as sour grapes, but give Johnson credit — he's done what he wanted and has a string of big-screen projects. He's currently making Robert Rodriguez' "Machete," a spin-off of the filmmaker's "Grindhouse" movie, which boasts a cast including Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin and title star Danny Trejo. Johnson also has the Adam Sandler-written "Born to Be a Star" with Christina Ricci and Stephen Dorff en route to release next year. He plays a porno film director in that one. There's also Mark Steven Johnson's 2010 romantic comedy, "When In Rome," a Disney flick in which Johnson plays Kristen Bell's father. And Johnson is also in the upcoming indie comedy "A Good Old Fashioned Orgy." DEAR STACY: Can you let us know who is alive from the "Gunsmoke" series? The main characters. — Tom M., New York DEAR TOM: James Arness, 86, and comparatively short-termers Burt Reynolds, 73, Buck Taylor, 71, and Roger Ewing, 67, are the surviving members of the "Gunsmoke" principal cast. Arness, aka Marshal Matt Dillon, was the only star who remained throughout the show's 20-year run. The late Amanda Blake (Miss Kitty) bowed out after year 19.
