ASK STACYDEAR STACY: What is John Stamos up to these days? — R.J., Cedar Rapids, Iowa DEAR R.J.: Stamos recently turned down an offer to hoof it on "Dancing With the Stars." "(I guess) I'm not a dancer," he tweeted — strange for someone who did "Bye, Bye Birdie" on Broadway last year. He is, however, in Kevin Spacey's "Father of Invention" movie. It's about an eccentric inventor whose life is turned upside down when one of his inventions goes terribly wrong. Shown at the Berlin Film Festival in February, it's yet to have a U.S. release date firmed. He also has an "Entourage" guesting coming up, and he's been sitting in on drums with the Beach Boys for a string of concerts. DEAR STACY: Please give some information about Robin Tunney of "The Mentalist." Is she married? Where from? Other shows and movies? She has such beautiful green eyes. — M.W., Ossining, N.Y. DEAR M.W.: The 37-year-old Chicago-born actress, who plays Agent Teresa Lisbon on CBS's "The Mentalist," is married to Australian writer-director Andrew Dominik, her second marriage. Her father, Pat, a car salesman, is a native of Ireland who moved to Chicago's South Side as a child. She started working as an actress as a juvenile, landing local commercials and doing plays. She's an alumna of the Chicago Academy for the Arts and the Second City Players Workshop. Tunney moved to L.A. at age 18. She's done a lot of work in episodic TV as well as films since then, on shows including "Dream On" and "Law & Order." Memorably, she played attorney Veronica Donovan on "Prison Break" in 2005-2006. She's also remembered for her portrayal of a witch in the big-screen "The Craft." Tunney's other credits include the movies "Niagara, Niagara," "Vertical Limit" and "Runaway." DEAR STACY: Nell Carter used to be a favorite of mine. She died at an early age, and it was a mysterious situation. DEAR R.C.: Carter's 2003 death was found to be due to complications of heart disease and diabetes. The Tony-winning Broadway ("Ain't Misbehavin'") and TV ("Gimme a Break") star, who had survived physical woes including cocaine addiction, two brain aneurysms and obesity, was 54. DEAR STACY: Are we going to see more of Mayim Bialik on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager"? Her character is funny, but also touching. — P.M., Brooklyn, N.Y. DEAR P.M.: "I'm assuming they will keep bringing me back anytime they need me," says Bialik, who's happy to recur on the ABC Family series as Dr. Bink, the kooky guidance counselor. "It's very nice to be sort of the comedy relief," she says. Bialik, who has filmed four episodes of "Secret Life" so far, has known series creator Brenda Hampton since Hampton was a writer on her old "Blossom" series, and they also worked together on Kirstie Alley's short-lived "Fat Actress." DEAR STACY: Are Joshua Jackson from "Fringe" and Jonathan Jackson of "General Hospital" brothers? — V.J.M., Toms River, N.J. DEAR V.J.M.: No. Although Vancouver-born Joshua, coincidentally, does have a half-brother named Jonathan — and both actors have lived in Washington State — they're not related. "General Hospital's" Jonathan was born in Orlando, Fla. DEAR STACY: I'm very disappointed that "Lincoln Heights" was canceled. Is there any chance of the show being picked up by another channel? — A.M., Canton, Ohio DEAR A.M.: That option is not being discussed. Several of the actors have made statements to the effect that they're proud of the four seasons of their critically acclaimed show and are sad to say goodbye. DEAR STACY: Can you tell me the name of the song used on the Kia Sorento commercials with the sock monkey, the robot and other toys? Also, who recorded it? — D.N., Saugerties, N.Y. DEAR D.N.: That's "How You Like Me Now" by The Heavy, from the album "The House That Dirt Built."
